KMZ file submissions.
Would like to be able to submit KMZ files. We have no inhouse support for SHP files, and it is hard to get SHP files for submission. We were pretty close to going with a different ticketing system because of the ability to submit KMZ files over SHP.
I am going to have a team member reach out to you. There is a short term and longer term option. First the short term option:
We have functionality in UtiliSphere called External Links. You can put a URL or Link for a 3rd party mapping system (like Google Maps or Apple Maps). When the users clicks on the External Link from a Ticket it would automatically open the 3rd party map and pass the Address or Digsite to the 3rd party map.
You can configure this now by following the below steps:
1. Login to UtiliSphere
2. Click on the Gear icon (in the upper right)
3. Click on External Links under the General category
4. Click on Add an External Link
5. Give it a Name
6. Configure the URL for the other mapping software you use
7. Choose the Address to pass to the URL
8. Choose where you want to display this on Full Web or an Mobile
9. Click Save
