Ability to Email a Snapshot of the Map in Irth's Map Viewer

A field representative for our company has asked for the ability to email a map from the ticket to the excavator when the positive response goes out.  In other words, while viewing a ticket and using the map viewer, perhaps add the ability to take an image of the current view extent and send that to the excavator with (or separate of) the positive response.

Thanks

Just to clarify, UtiliSphere has an Add On feature that sends the Ticket Map to the Excavator as part of the positive response. When a client signs up for this Add On, we work with them to configure the layers they would like displayed on the map sent to the excavator. This may include UtiliSphere layers and/or custom GIS layers that the company allows UtiliSphere to access.

you could even send this after the State One Call Centers identify the location as a quality check.  Recent experiences have shone that One Call Centers may inaccurately draw their dig boxes in the wrong location and utilities that are affected are not being notified.  Public Safety could be at risk based on these issues.   Having the excavator confirm that the dig box from the One Call centers have accurately identified the location can help prevent this.

UtiliSphere has an automated way to do this now. We integrate with your GIS System. When a Ticket comes in we can pass the coordinates to your GIS system and your GIS system passes back any layers you want the excavator to see. Then UtiliSphere automatically packages the digsite with the layers from your GIS and sends it via email to the locator. Is this the type of functionality you are looking for?

I think it is likely we're talking about the same thing.  Consider the attached image, our representative is talking about sometimes sending the map (right side of image) back to excavator.Sample Image

This would help as often internal folks my have access to layers on the map that are not visible to external parties. Can we have this possibly made so that a user could easily create a view of a nice extent with appropriate layers & map view, mark it up, and then add as an attachment to the item?  Can we make this "screen shot" work for work items too?

Just a suggestion but a screenshot is easily emailed, either by using the keyboard "PrtScn" key and pasting that into an email, or simply using the Microsoft Snip tool (available universally in Windows) to snip, copy and paste the image into an email.

Julian Morrison, I agree but since we already have an action in Irth for emailing a ticket I was trying to keep it within Irth since those records are required in most states to be retained for several years.  That way if an employee leaves their communications are with the life of the ticket.
